Hi there, we've just inherited an 03 Magna AWD and after just a day of driving I love it to bits. Such an easy car to drive and is so quick at the lights when needed.
As with all older cars it has some problems and niggles that we'll get the local mech to have a look at, but the rear diff (I assume) is making a ripper whine on acceleration and cruising at around 60kph. Go up a long hill at 30-65 and it looks like people outside can hear it. Strangely enough, once you're over 65 then it quietens down again and is usually ok at 80.
Apparently it's been looked at in the past with a shrug and 'it is what it is'. If anyone's got a better idea of what it is and a potential fix, it'd be much appreciated! Cheers.
